PACE 1 - Physician Assistant Comprehensive Examination 1 Description Physician Assistant Comprehensive Examination 1 is a formative assessment which is conducted at the conclusion of the didactic year and prior to the start of the clinical year. This assessment is used to ensure that the student is on track to meet the program competencies by the conclusion of the program and provide a formative evaluation process to help the student improve prior to the summative evaluation process. This assessment includes modalities such as a written examination, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), oral case presentation, and subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) note. This formative assessment will focus on medical knowledge, clinical and technical skills, clinical reasoning and problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and evaluation of professional behaviors.
