HGEN 0522 - Psychosocial Principles of Counseling Description Psychosocial Principles of Counseling is an introductory and foundational course focusing on exposing learners to a variety of important and influential counseling theories. Learners will examine theoretical perspectives, historical evolution, key concepts, and practical applications in counseling. This class provides a solid foundation from which to pursue further training in effective counseling across diverse populations by helping learners develop integrate theory, practice, self-awareness, and understanding of the importance of effective multicultural counseling.
