OCTH 0620 - Foundations of OT Evaluation

Description

Course Description and Relationship to Curricular Design:

This course introduces and reinforces the skills to administer, interpret and critically apply data from formal and informal evaluations and assessments used in practice. Following the pedagogical philosophy of this program students will individually and as a team practice ‘learn by doing’ to further harness their critical thinking skills for evidence-based, occupation-centered care. Through a range of active learning methods (e.g., case studies, final assessment project), students will also practice interpreting evaluative data to subsequently select appropriate client and occupation-based activities.
