DMSC 610 - Researching, Publishing, and Presenting in Healthcare Description This course introduces the key principles of evidence-based medicine, including ethical considerations in medical research. Students will learn how to formulate an appropriate research question, analyze the research literature, interpret the evidence from intervention studies, and communicate research findings. Students will identify a potential topic for the Doctoral Capstone Project and demonstrate effective use of the patient/population, intervention, comparison, and outcome (PICO) format that addresses an identified problem involving a medical, educational, healthcare, or community health-related issue.
