DWHL 730 - Survey of Integrative Approaches 1 Description One of two nonsequential courses designed to provide an understanding of approaches to delivering complementary and integrative health care in the context of Whole Health. Students will explore professions, systems, and modalities, gaining insight into the history of these fields as well as their educational requirements and the licensing or certification required for professional practice. Topics may include Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Tai Ji Quan, Qi Gong, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Herbalism, and Energetic Therapies. Students will examine the challenges and opportunities associated with these professions, systems, and modalities and gain a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration, critical thinking, and practical knowledge of the various practices they may encounter in their leadership positions.
