DPT 643 - Management of the Pediatric Patient Description Presents fundamental concepts for the physical therapy management of individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and/or cardiopulmonary impairments from birth to young adult. A framework of normal development birth, through adolescence to young adulthood serves as a course foundation. Case discussions are presented to enhance communication, safety, patient management, and application of evidence for practice. Topics include developmental delay and disability, family-centered care, advocacy, and assistive technologies.
