SEL 0955 - Introduction to Personal Injury: Appropriate Medical Management

Description
This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of managing a personal injury claim and to minimize legal liability in practice. The focus of this course is on medicolegal issues including, but not limited to patient documentation, doctor liability, legal obligations and responsibilities, collaboration with attoneys, medical specislists and imaging faciities, malpractice concerns and proper marketing strategies. Strategies for sending and receiving inter and intraprofessional collaborative care and medically necessary referrals are discussed.
