DMSC 650 - Integrative Whole Person Health Practice Description This course explores the fundamental principles and philosophies of the Whole Health approach: a holistic, patient-centered model that emphasizes the importance of meaning, aspiration, and purpose in healthcare. The course discusses the core components of Whole Health, including empowering patients, equipping them with self-care skills, treating the whole person, and fostering connections within the healthcare community. Students will learn to distinguish between different types of medical practices related to Whole Health, document specific elements of this approach, and examine the roles of peer support and health coaching.
