OTPP 731 - Intro to Geriatric Rehabilitation Description This course will cover basic principles of the International Classification of Function (ICF) Model, the impact of ageism in healthcare, how pathological aging and physiologic aging are different, and how to apply evidence-informed care to the older adult population. Most importantly, this course serves as a precursor to other content within the curriculum and begins to build the foundation needed to develop the learner into a well-rounded geriatric practitioner. The goal of this 2-week online, self-directed course is to improve the learners understanding of the basics of Geriatric Rehabilitation, to implement evidence-based practice, and begin to understand the biopsychosocial complexities of the older adult patient/client.
