Description
This course provides an overview of the normal aging phenomena and experiences, including common diseases and functional issues such as the effects of aging on the body as well as the effects on mental health. In addition, this course covers the cultural, socioeconomic, and other differences among older adults. The course is designed to assist students understand the components of the healthcare system relevant to the older adult, including medication use, long-term care, and health care policies.
