Description
The Principles & Practices of Genetic Counseling I course is an in-depth foundational course in the principles of genetic counseling. Students will gain an understanding of the standard nomenclature used in genetic pedigrees, the elements of an effective genetic counseling session, and techniques used in practice to elicit family and medical histories. This course will prepare students for practicum experiences.
