MSGC 525 - Principles & Practices of Genetic Counseling II

Description
The Principles & Practices of Genetic Counseling II course is an in-depth foundational course in the principles of genetic counseling with an introduction to advanced clinical practice skills. Students will engage in activities which teach risk assessment, shared decision-making processes, communication of test results, patient health literacy, and patient advocacy. Students will gain an understanding of the critical elements of clinical practice needed for successful completion of practicum experiences.
