Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Programs

Offered by Los Angeles College of Chiropractic

Dean: Ana Facchinato, DC, MHS

The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) offers limited courses for some non-degree-seeking students who already hold the Doctor of Chiropractic degree and who are interested in fulfilling prerequisites to apply for chiropractic licensure in the state of California. These courses are typically offered on-ground but may include online components.

Interested applicants should contact the LACC Dean’s Office. Interested applicants will be asked to review their specific licensure prerequisite needs with the Dean’s Office, to determine if they can be met by LACC. If they can be met through LACC, interested applicants will be required to provide:

  • a non-degree seeking student application registration form
  • a copy of their current Doctor of Chiropractic License or copy of their Doctor of Chiropractic Diploma (if not previously licensed) to qualify to enroll
  • evidence of being in good standing if they have previously been licensed as a chiropractor

Accepted students must:

  • sign an enrollment agreement and completion plan
  • provide a current and valid tuberculosis clearance
  • provide a lab participation agreement for any practical coursework/clinical work
  • work with the Dean’s Office to enroll in necessary courses to receive needed content, hours, and procedures for licensure, based on their needs
  • comply with any program requirements, including applicable site-specific immunization requirements at clinical locations

Students-at-large enrolled in these chiropractic courses are considered chiropractic students for purposes of student malpractice coverage. Students-at-large in these courses, though perhaps previously licensed, must fully comply with all licensed faculty supervision requirements and other course and program conduct requirements applicable to all chiropractic students (including not referring to themselves as doctor or as a chiropractor while not yet eligible for licensure in California).

Students are charged according to current tuition and fees.
