PP 0801 - Practice Management: Practice Development

Description
This course is designed to bridge the gap from student to practicing doctor. Its objective is to teach the management skills required to start-up and run a successful practice. The focus of this course is on start-up, writing a business plan and acquiring financing, including, but not limited to: marketing, doctor liability, creating referrals among other allied professionals, legal obligations and responsibilities, billing, insurance companies and malpractice. Strategies for sending and receiving inter- and intra-professional collaborative care and referrals are presented.Different models of inter-professional practice are discussed.
