OCTH 0610 - Scholarship, Doctoral Studies and Research Description In this course, students begin to learn about the basic concepts and tools required for evidence-based practice, to support scholarship and practice. The course introduces basic research methods, ethical principles and procedures in the research process. Students explore foundational elements of the research process within quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. Students will learn to conduct a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) in which they formulate a clinical research question, review the literature, and evaluate the credibility and meaning of qualitative and quantitative study findings.
