OTAZ 600 - Foundations of Occupational Therapy

Description
This course examines the historical foundations, philosophical base, occupation, core values, scope of practice and code of ethics of the profession. Occupation-based practice models, theories and principles of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) are examined for analysis of occupational therapy. Structured learning experiences facilitate professional development, including professional reasoning and the transition to professional roles and professional behaviors. Includes an experiential lab component.
