OTAZ 601 - Research I: Foundations to Scholarly Review Description This course introduces general research principles and evidence-based practice. The student is oriented to the SCU library system and technology resources while developing skills to utilize databases and cite sources. The student learns about developing research questions, conducting literature reviews and critical appraisals, the different types of research, and ethical considerations. The course provides a scholarly framework for learning in subsequent courses for the application of in-depth knowledge associated with evidence-based practice.
