OTAZ 610 - Neurological Foundations Description This course focuses on the study of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology as it relates to neurological conditions commonly treated in occupational therapy. Course content expands upon the students’ knowledge base acquired in prior Anatomy and Physiology and will cover the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems. A particular focus is on sensory and motor systems and how cognitive and emotional processing could impact occupational performance. Lab activities emphasize elements of the neurologic examination with an introduction to commonly employed measures and tools for assessment.
