OTAZ 620 - Professional Leadership and Advocacy Description This course covers the principles of leadership and advocacy essential for individual and professional growth. This course focuses on the integration of knowledge and skills to advocate for patients and programs by influencing regulatory environment. Students will refine and evaluate their skills in interprofessional communication and collaboration. The course explores various topics and methods of advocacy that promote the role of occupational therapy in addressing societal needs. Emphasis is placed on the individual and the values that guide leadership decisions, fostering the advancement of the occupational therapy profession.
