OTAZ 640 - Level 2 Fieldwork A Description This course is the first of two Level 2 fieldwork experiences the student must complete. The goal of Level 2 fieldwork is to develop competent, entry-level, generalist occupational therapists. Each Level 2 fieldwork requires a minimum of 12 weeks full-time experience in a traditional or role-emerging practice setting to develop entry-level competency in the assigned practice area towards the end of the fieldwork experience. The student is supervised by a currently licensed or otherwise regulated occupational therapist. These supervised fieldwork experiences provide the student with an opportunity to apply theory, skills, and knowledge learned throughout the curriculum to practice. Students will demonstrate the ability to engage in ethical practice, apply critical thinking and professional reasoning, and develop professionalism and competence as an occupational therapy practitioner.
