PACE 1 - Physician Assistant Comprehensive Examination 1 Description Physician Assistant Comprehensive Examination 1 is a formative assessment which is conducted at the conclusion of didactic year prior to starting their clinical year. This assessment process is used to ensure that the students are on track to meet the program competencies by the conclusion of the program and provide a formative assessment to help the student improve prior to the summative evaluation process. The assessment includes modalities such as a written examination, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), oral case presentation, and subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) note. The formative assessment will focus on medical knowledge, clinical and technical skills, clinical reasoning and problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and evaluation of professional behaviors.
