OCTH 0631 - Children and Adolescents, Occupation and Lifestyle Health Description In-depth analysis of underlying theories and occupation-based practice with infants, children, and adolescents. Case-based application work engages students’ ability to solve real-life problems facing children, adolescents, and their families. Problems include environmental barriers to occupational participation, uniquely experienced by children, adolescents, and their families navigating disability, illness, injury, or trauma. Topics include the occupational therapy process for a variety of settings and the power of client-centered occupational therapy to promote physical, mental, and emotional health. Health equity, diversity, occupational justice, lifestyle health, and interdisciplinary collaboration are addressed.
