SMS 803 - Health Concerns in the Tactical Patient Literature has been published on the high cardiovascular disease risk in the first responder population as well as metabolic disease, depression and PTSD. This course will introduce students to an array of cardiovascular tests and laboratory tests to assess the degree of cardiovascular health that is presented by the tactical patient. Descriptions of depression and PTSD will be presented and the contributing factors in the first responder’s duties that lead to these conditions.
